We’re experts at getting non professional talent to tell their story in their own words, while staying on point for what the story needs to be. It sound simple enough, but it’s very difficult. With over 20 years experience in the agency and brand world, we know how to lead them to the answers that tell the best story, while still exploring side stories and antidotes that could elevate the overall piece.

An interview is only as good as it’s b-roll. It’s one thing to have someone tell their story, but you need supporting footage to show them in real life settings. We’ve worked in every kind of situation to capture great content to support and grow the story, but while keeping the talent comfortable and relaxed.

Undoubtedly you’ve looked at a couple of production companies & directors to partner with. We’re a little different than most. We have the experience necessary to execute in tough situations, and most importantly, handle the inevitable issues that come up throughout it. We come from an agency and brand background. We’re able to use the experience we gained, working with some of the biggest brands in the world, to execute across all levels. The mentors we’ve had throughout our career have all had one teaching in common… Never say no. That doesn’t mean we just do any project and never offer any input. It means that we offer our expertise, our decades of creative experience, and we get it done. We do literally whatever it takes to execute the project. Lots of people say that, we have the history to back it up.

We’ve Been Around.

We’re not kids who just graduated from college and started their own thing. Our founder & Creative Director, Cal Engel has over 20 years experience in the industry. Spanning from traditional marketing agencies to innovation agencies to brands to digital out of home, even working with literally the biggest music acts in the world. Six years ago he decided to form AV Collective as a way to provide that same high quality work to clients, but without them having to pay the overhead of a traditional agency.

Why’s that important for you? Every project is going to have challenges. It’s about the knowledge and expertise of the people you work with, that allows them to overcome those challenges and deliver projects beyond your expectations. If video was easy, you could hand a camera to your cousin and they’d be the next Spielberg. But we’ve seen it all, we’ve run into it all, and we’ve overcome it all to deliver the best quality work, and the most engaging stories, for our clients.
